What is DLNA

DLNA stands for 'Digital Living Network Alliance'. It allow you send media files to devices like computers, tablets and smart phones over a home network.

How does DLNA works?

There are three types of DLNA device/software, namely DLNA media player, DLNA media server, and DLNA controller.The DLNA server shares multimedia files for the DLNA media player to play. The DLNA controller is used to control the media player, such as play/pause, volume, progress, and so on.

Windows media player can be used as a DLNA media server and a DLNA media player, which can simultaneously share files and receive media fieplayrequests. Kodi works in the same way as the Windows media player.

WIFI MOUSE works as a DLNA controller. It can access files shared by any DLNA media server, push files to DLNA media player, and control the media player.

Common DLNA applications:

DLNA media server: Windows media player, Kodi, Serviio，Jellyfin，PlayOn，Plex，Emby Server,Universal Media Server.

DLNA media player: Windows media player, Kodi, 5KPlayer, VLC.
